The Biology of Cancer synthesizes the findings of three decades of recent cancer research and proposes a conceptual framework from which to teach about these discoveries. Reading it cover to cover was exhausting and took me about a year, but I'll probably be revisiting it over and over again as a reference text from here on out.

The book contains a CD-ROM that has many additional figures and tables in Powerpoint format and some movies that correspond to each chapter.

For a textbook, this book was extremely readable. I'm sure future editions could only get larger in content due to the rapid pace of research. I am reading this as a medical student and for that purpose, it is both too long and missing the pathology that I need, but I don't regret it.
